Two Teeth!

Parker's second tooth came in today! He's been really good, and has even slept through the night the past few nights! Hooray! I waited 8 months for that! (Chris even dared to mention, "You seem happier!" haha)"Look at the camera, bud!"
Parker had tipped over while playing, so Kenzie joined him
So sweet, except the cat walked in front of the camera AGAIN! Even my pictures have cat hair on them! Sheesh! Thank goodness for Photoshop, I'll have to crop this one!

Parker and Woodside

The shirt says, "I'm a really BIG deal!" Too true!
The sign that he likes a stuffed animal is if he bites it in the head
I figured I'd take a picture of him with his new bear, just in case he winds up liking it as much as Kenzie likes her Teddy. (If that's the case, we'll need proof of how good the bear used to look).

Just Like Daddy

There is a certain little girl in our household who sure admires her Daddy and everything he does! I hope this doesn't warp her!
When she's sixteen she'll be thrilled to know she wanted to shave!

Thomas the Bus

Parker's modeling his new outfit from my aunt and uncle. Kenzie exclaimed, "It's a bus!" and knocked him over trying to inspect the sweater. I just can't believe he can wear 12-month outfits (plenty of room in the waist, though; I was having fun holding his pants out and saying, "I lost 45 pounds. Thanks Mega-Shake!"). My tall skinny guy!
I wonder what there would be to post about if I didn't take pictures of my kids constantly? Could such a world exist? (Shudder)

Spoiled Rotten

Opening their Valentine's box from my parents
It looks like Kenzie's pouting, which amused me because she was anything but disappointed in her special Sleeping Beauty hair brush and Cinderella lip gloss!
Plus princess stickers! (Any common theme to what Kenzie likes, do you think?)

8 Months Already?

Chris even mentioned this morning that he's never seen such a smiley baby! Here he is in all his 8-month glory (aren't I one of those sickening moms? haha).I love this pose, you'd think I knew what I was doing as a photographer!
Surprise, surprise, he's smiling at Kenzie
Of course Seiko was curious what we were up to

Kenzie's New Fanny

Actually, it's Kenzie's new VANITY, but she couldn't say it right and kept calling it, "Fan-ee!" (Note to self: try to get that on video before she learns to say it right!)
Anyways, it's all things princess at the Arnold house. Poor Parker can even be spotted banging the princess lunch box against things from time to time. But hey, you're only young once, and I might never have another little girl, so I'm really enjoying the girly stuff with Kenzie. (And we found the vanity at a thrift store for $4, so how could I not get it when it lights up and plays music even?) Kenzie started off brushing her hair, but by the end of the night it was cluttered with play dishes and the drawers were filled with coins. There's plenty of time for her to sit and stare in the mirror at herself when she's thirteen, though, I'm happy to have her just be three for now!

Glowie the Seahorse

This seahorse has been a wonderful purchase - it has lulled Parker back to sleep on many occasions. It's almost too bad, because I told Chris if Parker didn't want it, I did! His little tooth is finally showing up in pictures!
I almost used Photoshop to get rid of all the oatmeal on his face, but then figured that wasn't very authentic! (In my defense, it was right before his bath so I didn't see the point in wiping him up very well!)
I think Kenzie and Parker have similar toes, but that's about it

Muffy Being NICE (!!)

No one can resist my sweet boy - not even Muffy, proud owner of the titles "Cranky Cat," "Mean Muffy," and "Snaggle Claw." She doesn't even bother to wake up when the Sesame Street cash register cha-chings right next to her. I thought I should compliment her on being so patient with a baby and toddler, since usually Seiko gets all the credit (and camera time).

Draper Temple Open House

Today we went to the Draper Temple Open House, and Kenzie was so excited. Parker fell asleep, and I forgot to bring his sling so my right shoulder is still aching from carrying his limp weight all around! But it was worth it to have him stay asleep and quiet. (He woke up right as we entered a room with a large chandelier, and watching his face as he craned backwards to stare was worth it, too!)I took some pictures before we left because I can't resist my little man in his tie!
Chris said, "Here's your Mother's Day picture!"
The highlight for Kenzie was getting to ride the BUS from the meeting house over to the temple. While waiting in line she must have asked me 993 times: "Can I get on the bus now?" "Not yet." "PLEASE?" (Her other highlight was seeing the bride's dressing room. "Can I get married now?" she wanted to know. But the bus ride got the biggest reaction. "THIS IS FUN!" she yelled, more than once!)

Parker's Pooh Bear Hat

This deserves its own post!! It's important! haha
Daddy says, "The poor kid!" but Mommy says, "He likes it!"

Lacie and Brilee's Birthday Party

Hayden gives family gatherings a thumbs-up (it's late; I can't think of anything witty to comment)Hannah hiding how giggly she was (darn it)
Tatum was not so giggly, but check out those boots and the hat!
The Arnold/Lambert Rock Band (even Parker has a coordinating beanie)
The ladies take a turn (Tatum was the singer)
Lacie and Brilee's birthday cake, courtesy of their favorite aunt
This was the pose they wanted
We begged them for a normal picture, so here's what we got
Now for the grand finale. It's really a shame the batteries died on my camera, because Lacie's dance moves are wonderful! I love my nieces and nephews; they're quite entertaining!

More Family Resemblances

This is one of the only pictures of baby Chris we can find...
Parker hates to be on his tummy, though, so I couldn't fully re-create the picture Their ears stick out at the same angle!

Kid Corral

Never underestimate the power of a tent in January. Not only does the tent keep them entertained, it keeps them contained!
Kenzie rocking her teddy (I love the clownish kool-aid look, too!)
His bottom teeth are just begging to break through, but he's still happy!

Waiting for the DirecTV guy...

This sums up today. We stayed home all day waiting for the repair guy to fix the satellite, and he got here at 4:50... Someday I'll do something worthy of an interesting post, right??

Our Little Sunbeam

8:30am - Kenzie comes in, pokes me right in the face, and loudly declares, "Mommy, wake up! I need to be a SUNBEAM!" (Her new Sunday school class; she's moved up from the nursery and gets to be with the "big kids!") When I didn't get up right away, she was back. "Mommy, Cinderella just needs her shoes!" Uggh, those blasted shoes! Before church, literally jumping with excitement
Telling Parker how big she is
After church, showing off her new CTR (Choose the Right) ring. She can't quite say it, though; it's usually "JDR" "JPR" "CDR" etc.

Happy New Year!

This is my 100th post! I'm impressed with my ability to find 100 ways to say the exact same thing: "Aren't my kids cute?" Kenzie showing off her blue and green nail polish (New Year's is a boring holiday for us!)
He blinked!
My little guy will turn 1 in 2009; I feel the need to take even more pictures so I can remember him being little!
