Aquarium

It's a tradition when my parents come into town to head to the Living Planet Aquarium. This was Parker's first trip, and every single fish in the place got greeted with a hearty, "Hi!" from this little guy.
Kenzie loves to find the "Nemo" fishies.
Me and my kiddos
Grandma Susan, Kenzie, and a giant frog. Parker was busy looking for the real frogs.
He did finally decide a big frog was worth climbing on, though.
One of Parker's favorite tanks. He kept coming back to this one.
Kenzie was a bit wary of some of the bigger, uglier fish. Can't say I blame her - I wouldn't want to swim with a lot of those things.
All tuckered out. You can see Parker's flushed face from running from one exhibit to the next! He fell asleep playing with his light-up seahorse when we got home!

Bug Party

Yesterday morning I went with Kenzie to preschool for her bug-themed day. She's still in the sweet stage where it's awesome to have Mom with her at school. I got lots of hugs.
I'm proud of my smart little girl, too. She didn't need my help (although with the stapler I did insist).
The bee bracelet, and Kenzie's cute friend, Ella
An in-action shot of a bunch of crazy kids literally running around in circles. That sums up preschool pretty well!

Happy Green Food Coloring Day

I'm pretty sure that's all St. Patrick's Day is to us. We're not Irish. I did make colcannon and corned beef, but otherwise it was about dying the food green!Kenzie made the soda bread (which is Irish, too, I guess) all by herself. I helped her measure, of course, since she's a bit generous with a teaspoon, but otherwise it was all her.
Then she rolled out some green shamrock cookies, while telling me all about the "elves" (she couldn't remember the word "leprechaun") that ran through her preschool, knocking over trash cans and misplacing coats.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Boxes, Boxes Everywhere...

... but not a box to use! (I wonder if anyone else would get that reference. Anyways).
So I'm finally packing with a purpose in mind. Anything I can live without until May is going into a box. Of course, I always misjudge what I need, so the question, "Where is [fill in the blank here with any random item]" will be answered even more than usual with, "I don't know. I probably packed it."

Wishful Thinking

Yeah, Grandpa was the only one who wound up taking a nap!

The Week in Review

Two sick kids. Two trips to the doctor. Two bottles of antibiotics.
But, in happier news, here is my new (to me) dining room table! I think it will go well in our new place. Speaking of which, things seem to be going well. We had the inspection this week, and it only turned up a few minor things. The seller has already agreed to all repairs, so it's full steam ahead!

Close to Official

Here's Parker hanging out in the conference room as we signed the papers Wednesday to put an offer on a house in Riverton. It's "under contract" and now it's just a matter of the inspection and all the boring paperwork. Provided nothing drastic is discovered during the inspection, we should close April 5 and then move in May 1. Hooray!!!

It's Just Not Fair

Do you know how hard I try to take a cute picture of Parker? He'll run away, laugh and hide his face, frown and yell, "No!" etc., etc. But if Kenzie has the camera, he'll even pose! I guess I know who'll be doing my photography from now on...

Parker's Song

The first song Parker has really sung is "Elmo's Song" (not exactly a musical masterpiece, but cute when a little kid sings it!). Here I got Kenzie to sing it and he finally gave us the ending on video.
